Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines self-defence techniques, music, dance, and acrobatics. Its history is rooted in the traditions of enslaved Africans in colonial Brazil and was practised as a means of breaking the bonds of slavery.Xango Capoeira Singapore was founded in 2011 by Mestre Luizinho Barravento. We aim to promote individual and community values based on Respect, Cooperation, and Freedom through the Afro-Brazilian martial art and culture of capoeira.Our headquarters is in Gold Coast (Australia), with schools in Brisbane (Australia), Goiânia (Brazil), and France too. Our Singapore classes are taught by Instrutor Cantor and Graduado Manhoso.

Yes, we do! We're always happy to introduce capoeira to anyone who is keen to explore and learn. All you need to do is come in comfortable sportswear, preferably with long pants.Your first class is at a discounted price of $10, regardless of student type. Enjoy additional 20% if you bring friends along!2. When should I make payment for classes?
All payments must be made before entry to class.3. How do your packages work?
Our "4 Classes" and "8 Classes" packages expire within 30 days from the date of purchase.4. How are classes conducted?
All our classes are mixed-levels. We focus on developing good fundamentals and technique in capoeira. We teach variations of sequences and moves based on the students' abilities.We also teach foundations in capoeira instruments and music, as well as functional exercises to improve strength, core, and balance.
Xango Capoeira Festival (Batizado e Troca de Cordas)
Xango Capoeira Singapore Festival is our annual flagship event featuring capoeira and music workshops run by Mestre Luizinho Barravento and guest instructors over 3 to 4 days. The event concludes with the Batizado e Troca de Cordas, where new students will receive their first cord as an initiation while current students may advance the ranks.
